Data Deletion

You can delete your Dziri account and all data associated with it at any time. This page explains your options, what gets deleted, and how long the process takes.

This is the fastest path. Sign in to Dziri and follow these steps:

1. Open the Dziri app (web at dziri.app or the mobile apps on iOS / Android).
2. Go to Profile → Settings → Account.
3. Tap Delete my account. You will be asked to confirm.
4. Your account is scheduled for deletion immediately. All data is purged within 30 days (see retention details below).

If you have connected third-party accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.) you can also disconnect them individually from Profile → Connected accounts. Disconnecting a single platform removes only the data Dziri obtained from that platform and leaves your Dziri account otherwise intact.

If you’ve uninstalled the app or can’t sign in, email us at privacy@dziri.app from the email address associated with your Dziri account with the subject line “Data deletion request”. Please include:

• The email address on your Dziri account
• Optionally, your Dziri username
• The platforms whose data you want removed (e.g. “everything”, “only Facebook data”, “only Instagram data”)

We respond within 72 hours to confirm the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.

If you connected via Facebook Login and just want Meta platforms to stop sending us data (without deleting your Dziri account), you can revoke access from Meta directly:

• Open Facebook’s Business Integrations settings.
• Find Dziri in the list.
• Click Remove.

This stops Meta from sharing any new data with us and invalidates the access token we hold. Data we already received is automatically deleted within 24 hours once Meta notifies us of the revocation. If you also want your Dziri account deleted, use Option 1 or 2.

• Your Dziri user profile (name, email, avatar, onboarding preferences).
• All interaction signals (feed views, likes, reactions, completion percentages, search history).
• Access tokens for all connected platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
• Any personal content items synced from your connected accounts (your own posts, videos, photos, subscription lists).
• Missions and rewards balance. Note that any rewards that have already been paid out cannot be reversed.
• Push notification tokens so we stop sending you notifications.

A small amount of data is kept for legal and security reasons after deletion:

• Fraud signals (device fingerprints, abuse reports) — retained for up to 12 months so a deleted account can’t be immediately re-registered to bypass a ban.
• Financial records for reward payouts — retained for the period required by tax and accounting law in the jurisdictions we operate in (typically 5–10 years).
• Aggregate analytics (e.g. “number of users in Algeria”) that no longer identifies you individually.

No third-party platform data (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) is retained after deletion.

• Immediate — your account is signed out of all sessions and disappears from public surfaces (profile, comments, missions).
• Within 24 hours — access tokens are revoked at all connected platforms; cached content from those platforms is purged.
• Within 30 days — all remaining personal data is erased from our primary databases.
• Within 90 days — data is removed from backups on their natural rotation.
