Law enforcement and authority requests

Judicial authorities, police and gendarmerie services, and other public bodies with a legal power to request information or the removal of content.

If you use Dziri and want to report content or an account, use the report option in the app or write to safety@dziri.app. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services first.

Email legal@dziri.app with the subject line Authority request. Please send it from an official address of your authority, and attach the legal document the request is based on.

Dziri is operated by Digital Trendz, a business intelligence company, in Dely Brahim, Algiers, Algeria. To arrange the delivery of formal legal documents, write to legal@dziri.app.

• the name of the authority, and the name, position and official contact details of the person making the request
• the legal basis of the request, and a copy of the court order, requisition or other legal document
• the account concerned: a link to the profile, the username, or the email address or phone number linked to it
• the specific information requested, and the period it covers
• for removal requests: a link to each piece of content, and the legal ground for removing it
• any deadline, and whether the request must be kept confidential, with the legal basis for that

We review each request against applicable Algerian law, including Loi 18-07 on the protection of personal data. We may ask for more details or for a formal legal document, and we may refuse or narrow a request that is unclear, too broad or without a valid legal basis.

We can only provide information we actually hold. Some information may never have been collected, and some may already have been deleted, for example after an account was deleted (see Data deletion).

If a request involves a risk of death or serious physical harm, say so at the top of the request and describe the danger.
